The pictures on the right will, I hope, give you a flavour of the village. These can be seen again with many others on the "Tour" page later in the site.
The village lies some 4 miles N N:W of the County Town of Bedford, and is surrounded by the meanderings of the River Ouse.
Until the late 1960`s its population had remained at about 500 people for 40 years (see the history page) but planning approval was given to a local landowner to develop the centre of the village, and within 20 years the population had grown to 2,500 odd.

The site opens with a history of the village, followed by a pictorial tour.
